SOUTH KOREA 2-3 GHANA:

 SOUTH KOREA 2-3 GHANA:

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

25’ GOAL! GHANA IS IN FRONT! Ghana scores on their first opportunity of the match! Jordan Ayew wins a free kick on the left wing, and the Crystal Palace player swings it dangerously. Salisu knocks in the rebound from close range after South Korea fails to stop it from falling into his path.

35’ 2-0 GHANA! KUDUS! They also have another! Kudus scores from six yards out into the bottom corner thanks to another fantastic cross from Jordan Ayew from the left wing.

GREAT SAVE IN 53'! South Korea did much better with that. Cho gets in front of his defender to get a powerful header off on a wonderful cross from the left, but Ati-Zigi leaps acrobatically to palm it away! The opportunity was South Korea's best game.

59’ GOAL! INVITE SOUTH KOREA BACK IN! Lee makes an immediate impact by winning the ball from Lamptey on the left wing and passing it straight to Cho, who sprints in front of Salisu and heads the ball in from close range. Go for it!

61' GOAL! South Korea is equal. Excellent, what a change of heart from South Korea! Cho scores twice in a short period of time! The striker brilliantly stands up to power home the header from close range after a hanging cross is thrown into the box from the byline!

GOAL in 69'! AGAIN IN FRONT IS GHANA! Oh, what a second period! Inaki Williams' air shot allows Ghana to find space on the left, and Kudus, of Ajax, moves the ball across the goal area to finish from 12 yards. After South Korea made that error, the Black Stars are back in the lead.

KEY STATS:

Since Uruguay in 2010, Ghana is the fourth team overall to win consecutive 3-2 games at the World Cup, making them the first team to do so (also Germany in 1994 and Switzerland in 1934)

Mohammed Kudus, 22 years old and 118 days old, is the second-youngest African player to score two goals in a World Cup game, behind Ahmed Musa, who did so for Nigeria against Argentina in 2014 at the age of 21 years and 254 days.
